As computers and AI push the boundaries of this beautiful game, we humans sometimes need to take a step back, focusing not only on what is but also on what was. Join us as Sebastiaan Smits takes us on a captivating journey through the history of chess and unravels the tapestry of chess’s past, from its humble beginnings to the dominance of AlphaZero.
On the speaker: Sebastiaan is a strong Dutch chess player with a classical rating of over 2100. In the 2022-2023 season, he became the official club champion of WLC.
The event will take place in Luna 1.240 and start at 19:30. You will NOT want to miss it!
To load the activities calendar in the Google Calendar app on your phone; after subscribing to the calendar go to “Settings” in the Google Calendar app. Then select the agenda of Noesis activities and switch on “Synchronizing”. This should load the activities in your Google Calendar app!
